PA Legal Jobs

PA legal jobs or personal assistant jobs in legal field may be available with law firms or in-house legal departments. PA legal jobs may or may not require applicants to have prior exposure of working around a specific practice area. Specific responsibilities associated with most PA jobs are providing administrative support to attorney; preparing drafts for the department; attending phone calls on behalf of the attorney; arranging meetings and scheduling appointments for the attorney; preparing case files; maintaining office infrastructure and stationery; preparing conference room for training or conference purpose; preparing minutes of meetings; circulating the minutes and other documents in the department; and scheduling travels for the attorney etc.

Applicants of PA legal jobs may have a high school diploma or a bachelor’s degree. A paralegal certificate may be required in some cases. Prior experience gained from a secretarial role may be advantageous. Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills are great assets applicants may possess. Proficiency with the use of computers and MS Office applications is essential for secretarial positions. Excellent telephone manner and ability to coordinate with people are desirable qualities for secretarial positions. Excellent attention to detail is required. Jobs may be full-time or part-time in nature. Secretarial jobs may be available with any law firm around the country. Some employers may also consider secretarial experience with non-law firm organization.  Some employers may want applicants to have a valid driver's license. Government organizations may carry out criminal background check of candidates before employment. Some employers may refer to similar jobs as paralegal, legal secretary or legal assistant jobs. Employers may provide senior professionals with relocation assistance or relocation finance. Some financial agencies provide jobseekers with personal loan or relocation finance. Strong ability to work for extended hours is essential for most secretarial positions in law firms.
